I suppose that technically I could have put this under my "Dyeing" category... Anyways, I thought I would share with you a photo of my new 'do. I got a cut and a color last week. I was about a month overdue for both. Yikes. The photo was taken with John's Mac Book - Photo Booth - so please excuse the terrible lighting.

This was the best I could do for a "before" photo. For about the last three weeks, this was the only way I could wear my hair. God bless the ponytail.
I have naturally curly hair. Growing up, I thought I was cursed. Until very recently, you never saw models with curly hair. And the ones who did have curly hair were always straightening theirs. Even in the hairdo books they have at the salons, the curly-haired photos either looked like poodles or Shirley Temple. In the last few years, I've seen a little bit of a change. There are more normal-looking curly hairdo's. But my favorite is still the "Carrie Bradshaw." It's my old standby. I know I can always count on that 'do.
Just like every other woman with curly hair, I occasionally straighten my hair as well. Actually, my stylist blows it out and flat-irons it, and then cuts my hair when it's dry. That top photo was taken after one such blow-out. It's amazing to me how straight that woman can get my hair. Amazing. If only I had about three more sets of arms, maybe I could get it that straight, too.
In knitting news, I have five and a half squares (out of nine, or possibly twelve) completed for my Crazy Miters Kureyon throw*. I've been working on it here and there, so it's coming along slowly. But the more squares I knit, the more excited I am to see the finished piece... So I may concentrate a little harder.
And, last but certainly not least... Happy Birthday to my DH. I would say, "Love you, baby!" but I know that would embarass him, so I'll just say, "Happy Birthday!"
*I just noticed that the post with the photo of the Kureyon squares also talks about me bringing in Carrie Bradshaw photos to my stylists! What an odd coincidence!
