The Good: I finished my Kureyon mitered squares blanket and it is bee-yoo-tee-full.
The Bad: I cast on for my first pair of Jaywalkers (using BMFA STR from the Sock Club) and completed the ribbing last night. I didn't realize until I started the second round of the pattern that I had cast on the wrong number of stitches and I also did a P4 instead of a P2 in one section of the ribbing. It has been frogged, and I'm ready to cast on again tonight.
The Good: John and I got a fancy SLR digital camera that can take really awesome photos, and we even took a class to learn how to use it.
The Bad: I still must not know what I'm doing because I can't take a good photo of anything to save my life! Argh!!! Laurie, if you're reading this... Help!
The Good: I seem to have lost some weight recently -- I'm not exactly sure how or why, but I ain't complainin'! For the first time since high school, I can fit into (and breathe in) single digit sizes.
The Bad: None of my pants fit anymore.
The Good: I went to the mall tonight to return some clothes I ordered online (too big!) and I found the jackpot of cute tops at Ann Taylor Loft. Is anyone else loving this whole "maternity-look-as-non-pregnant-wear" thing that's happening in fashion right now? Cute and comfortable!
The Bad: I have this bad feeling that now that I've purchased new clothes and "come out" on my blog that I will wake up tomorrow with my old size 12 booty.
The Good: That's great motivation to get my butt in gear and get more exercise. And that shouldn't be too difficult since my current amount of exercise is zero.

I can completely understand the whole things don't fit anymore! Gah. I love that I've lost a lot of weight and can wear the small sizes (which makes finding clothing a lot easier to a certain point), but it is hard to give up the really nice things that don't fit anymore. I promise, you won't miraculously wake up with the size 12 body tomorrow!

I don't want to sound negative - I don't. I really don't. But when I lost a some weight and hadn't done anything different, I found out I am diabetic. Please have your blood sugar checked. it could save your life. And I hope you lost weight just because you were supposed to and you are as healthy as all get out!

I am sorry to hear about your having to frog the socks. I hope they knit up fast again for you.
To be honest, I don't care for this maternity fashion trend. If you have lost weight or have a nice figure (ie a waist), it gets lost in all that tenty fabric. It seems to me that something a little more close fitting would help women in smaller and larger sizes (they wouldn't look larger than they actually are).

That's great that you are losing weight- I hope its because you want to. I have been walking and actually walked my very first 10K in April. Walking is great and if you can find something to put your sock yarn in you can actually knit on a sock while you walk69.
About the new maternity fashion- I think they really look cute- but I had 4 children- all grown up now- and I cant see myself in those clothes-\Ugh
I hope you get your jaywalkers done

I had 4 children, all grow now, and I think the maternity fashion looks great, but i cant seem to get into it- I think I had enough of the maternity look.

Alright, I think that we ought to make our next get together a photo outing. What do you think? We'll have you snapping fab photos in no time -- or at the very least we'll have a nice chat. ;)
Let's make plans for as soon as the weather breaks. I heard this morning htat it's supposed to rain all weekend. It'll make everything brighter when it clears. (Thinking positive.)
