Home Sweet Home

Whew.

We did it. We are all moved out of the old house and into the new house. Every little thing we own is here with us in our new home. A lot of it is still in boxes, but that's a minor detail. Things are getting unpacked, slowly but surely. And we love our new house -- what will we do with all this room?!?

I haven't picked up the needles in a while, as you can imagine. I hope to get my office/knitting room set up later this week. I'll take photos as we finish each room so you can see our new digs.

For now, I'm off to unpack a few more boxes...

Roses are Red?

We're having one showing and an open house tomorrow, so I brought home some flowers today. Here are the pretty roses I arranged for our dining room table.

And here are the roses in the bathroom, because everyone should have roses in the bathroom!

The roses are miniature. They were so pretty, I couldn't resist! I'm pretty sure they'll help us sell the house. What do you think???

Breather

Whew.

The painting, cleaning and general fixing-upping of the house is complete. John and I are exhausted. We're both looking forward to two days of complete relaxation. We've shown the house to two potential buyers so far (on our own - we haven't enlisted a realtor yet and we're hoping we won't have to), and are waiting to see if either one makes an offer. We should know by mid-week. Now we have a few weeks before we have to start the major packing and moving phase of this whole ordeal. Must. Relax. Quickly.

As you can imagine, not much knitting is getting done. In fact, most of my knitting stuff has been packed away. I left a few projects out, and I was finally able to pick up the needles again last night. I finished another square for the cotton throw I'm making. It felt so good to finish something!

Alright, I'm off to bed now. Yes, I know it's only 9:30, but I'm about 52 hours behind on sleep from the past two weeks... Tomorrow, I hope to catch up on my blog-reading. Sweet.

Have a great weekend!
