Beta is Ready!

The Alpha box is out there somewhere... Ellen, you sent it off, right? Eileene, do you have it yet? I'm like a little momma hen worried about her little chicken babies out there in the world -- or something like that. I just want to know where the box is, really.

The Beta box is ready to go. No more contributions. Like Julia Roberts said in Pretty Woman, "Nuthin' else is gonna fit in here." I will mail this bad boy out Monday or Tuesday.

The Gamma box is pretty full, too. Once I figure out what I'm going to put in, and find a suitable box, it will be ready to ship. Hopefully, it will go out next week. Whew!

I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone who has donated to the start boxes. You guys put in some amazing stuff! I'd love to take a "Tour of Stashes" of the sixty-nine women involved in this project. Wouldn't that be great?!?

And, thank you to Jillz for the lovely gift of two skeins of the new R2 Print yarn. I'm going to get creative with this, baby!

Please let me know if you have any questions about the SSRP. And please help me keep track of the boxes. When you get the box, please send out a group email and let us know it has arrived and when you plan to send it on its way. Thank you!

Gamma is Closed!

Whew! The response is overwhelming!

The Gamma-Version is full. And I think, for right now at least, I will get these three boxes out before I open up anymore rounds. If you're still interested, keep checking this page to see if we add another box (or two). I wish everyone could play, but I think that keeping the boxes to around 20 participants will increase the chance for success. If there's enough interest, we'll keep doing boxes until people get sick of it!

The Alpha box is going out this weekend... Woo-Hoo!

Call to Action

A few housekeeping things, just so I don't go crazy (or perhaps so I don't go "crazier"):

• I've added the participant lists in the right-hand sidebar. If you see your name there but it is not an active link, that means that I do not have your blog address. If you'd like me to link to it, please put "blog address" in the subject line, and include which version you are with. If you do not see your name there but you know it should be, please email me so I can get you added. If your name or blog link are incorrect, please email me so I can correct it.
• In the future, it would be *so* helpful if you include which group you're in with every email. Putting it in the subject line would be delightful, but in the body is OK, too. I've made a spreadsheet with everyone's info, but it's a lot easier on me if you can remind me which group you're in with each email.
• The Alpha-box will be mailed out this weekend (Saturday)! This is so exciting! I am sending out one more mass email with the spreadsheet to double-double-check (triple-check?) the information I have. I don't want to send this box to the wrong house. Once I am sure that I have all the correct info, I will decide the order, and send out one more email. FYI: I can be bribed. :)
• The Beta-box is well on its way to getting stocked. I have several volunteers willing to contribute. I'm just waiting for the packages to arrive. Once they do, this box can go out the door, too!

• The Gamma-Version still has a few spots remaining. If you know someone who might be interested, give them my email addy or have them check out this site. Tell them, "You'll be sorry if you miss this. The SSRP is the new yoga." Oooh, snobby.

So far, so good on this end. Please let me know if you have questions or concerns or just want to shoot the breeze. Keep those start-box contributions rolling in (my PO box was empty today, save for one lonely bill). And stay Snobby!

This is the life, I tell ya! Even though it's a big job to organize this and keep everything straight, it's worth it to be able to drool over admire all this beautiful yarn. It's amazing. You people are amazing!

OK, down to business...

• I'd like to post lists of participants on my sidebar. And I'd like to post links to people's blogs if they have one, and if they'd like to be linked to. Please email me with your blogname and website address if you'd like to be linked to. If you'd prefer not to have a link to your site, please let me know that as well.
• The Alpha-Version startbox is soooo close to being ready to mail. Estimated departure date: June 12. Stay tuned for more information on that exciting news.
• The Beta-Version startbox is coming along, slowly but surely. I've received a few packages for the Beta-box, but I have been promised several more. Remember, the sooner I get them, the sooner I can send this box on the way! :)
• The newly created Gamma-Version has about a half-dozen participants so far. If you want to sign up, now's your chance! Email me at: yarnsnobs AT yahoo DOT com. You know what to do!
