Renee in Minnesota has *finally* received the Alpha Box! It's a miracle! A yarn miracle! Go to her blog to check out what goodies she found... She will be trying to meet up with the other two Minnesota girls, and then it will be sent on to me for the mid-point check-up.
The Beta-Box is still MIA, with Gail being the last known recipient. She sent it on to Kristin in IL, who has not responded to any of my email attempts to contact her. I've even tried to find her phone number, but I don't think she's listed. Also, the address she gave me is not found on Yahoo! Maps, or Map Quest. I'm not giving up hope on her, but it doesn't look good...
Renada in Minnesota had the Gamma box, and was going to mail it out to Audrey in Michigan. That was the last I heard three weeks ago. I've emailed her for an update, and I'll let you know what I find out.
If anyone has any advice on what to do about the Beta box, please let me know. Kristin, if you're out there, and you have the box, PLEASE contact me. I know life gets crazy, but it only takes a few minutes to compose and send an email.
Hi Jen, I could start a new Beta box. Let me know.

I can help reseed the beta box as well. I feel so bad - I insured it, but I can't find the insurance reciept now. Plus, we can't even say for sure it didn't make its destination.

At this point, I would like my name to be removed from the Beta list. Jen, this in no way reflects on you.

I have found some other possible means to track Kristin B. down...will email you privately!

Jen - I hate that you have to run around after the Beta box. I have a lot to contribute but I'm not close to being next on the list and will have to drop out as well. I thought we'd be farther along by now and I'll have a new baby running around before the box gets to me. I think you're a great leader and hope this all works out. Let me know if I need to do something to "officially" bow out...

Hi Jen
I just sent you an email. I did a google search for Kristin's email address and sent you a link that may or may not help. I think we're out of luck, ladies. :(

Any luck with the info I sent you?

Any info on the Gamma box? Should I stop hoping that one day it will get to me?

Well, if the alpha box is ever headed my way, which I'm currently doubting, I will have a new address to mail it to. I also have a new computer so I no longer have the list of everyone's email to send this as an announcement. My email address is also changing.

I used to cling to the hope that Kristin moved or had something unhappy in her life which put the whole thing on hold, but now I just think she's a thief. Has anyone ever had any truck with her? Was she a blogger? I think there needs to be a revised version of the rules should anyone want to launch one of these again: only real people need apply, and to qualify, you must be corroborated by a blogger with six months under their belt. That way, we know you exist. I feel taken, frankly, but I remain grateful to Jen for undertaking this enormous organization task. Perhaps we remaining Betas could be tacked onto the end of the Alpha or the Gamma boxes? I'm not going anywhere. I can wait.
