Well, it's the moment of truth... Time to felt the tote. I'm so excited!
As you can see, I made a few modifications on my Wobbly Tote. First, I inserted side panels to make the tote a little wider. I also added a garter stitch base. I did this in lieu of sewing the bottom the way the pattern instructs. I like the boxy shape, but I didn't really like the way it was done in the pattern.
Second, I changed the handle situation. I wanted this tote to be a little more structured than the pattern is written to be. And I love me some wooden purse handles, so I knit tabs into which I will insert these. I haven't decided on which color, yet. I'll have to see them in action first.
Finally, I obviously used a different color palette than the original pattern, but I also used different color schemes on the front and the back of the tote.
I've had so much fun making this tote. I know I finished before the KAL even officially started, but don't worry. I will be making another Wobbly Tote in April... I have to go put this in the wash machine now. Wish me luck!!!
