Not Gonna Happen
At least, not for me. At first I had trouble choosing yarns and colours, but Chelle from my SNB generously gave me a bunch of leftover feltable yarn bits that would have come together wonderfully for the bag. Yesterday I sat down and cast on. It took me a few rows to get the hang of it, to figure out the best way to twist the yarns together at colour changes, but I hated every second of it. I realized at about row 20 that there was no way I was going to ever finish this bag. For me, intarsia is just not. fun.
I particularly loathed shaping the circles while just changing colours wasn't that bad. I think I'd like to make a vertically-striped bag, though.
Anyway, everyone's colours are great and the bags will be beautiful. This knitalong is just not for me. Enjoy yourselves, everyone!

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the project, but I totally understand. I'm not hating it, but I don't see myself doing any intarsia after this unless I can felt it. Most of my color changes just aren't good enough.

Stupidly, I've been eyeing that intarsia Marigold Tote pattern in the new IK. ;)

I don't have my new IK yet. I hope it gets here soon 'cause I want to check that out, too!
Sounds like you should give intarsia another try! :)
